<p><strong>The Minister of State for the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Dr. Mariya Mahmoud, has called for reconciliation with aggrieved members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) ahead of the 2027 general elections.</strong></p>

<p>She said the party must make deliberate efforts to reconcile members who feel alienated, abandoned or aggrieved, stressing that unity would be crucial to the APC’s success in the 2027 elections.</p>
<p>The Minister announced the need for a conciliation mechanism to bring aggrieved members back into the fold and strengthen the party ahead of the elections.</p>

<p>Mahmoud said greater attention should be given to grassroots mobilisation, empowerment and inclusive engagement, noting that the APC already had the capacity and commitment required to deliver victory for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and other party candidates.</p>
<p>She further stressed that women remained critical to the success of the APC and called for stronger collaboration between women and men within the party.</p>
<p>The FCT APC Woman Leader, Suleiman, also acknowledged the need for deliberate grassroots mobilisation, warning that political leaders must not operate on assumptions ahead of the 2027 elections.</p>
<p>According to her, “all is not well politically,” and leaders must take the campaign to the people, particularly residents in the numerous communities across the Federal Capital Territory.</p>

<p>Suleiman pledged the commitment of FCT APC women to work under Mahmoud’s leadership and mobilise support for President Tinubu and other APC candidates in the 2027 elections.</p>
