The 2027 presidential candidate of the African Action Congress, Omoyele Sowore, has rated President Bola Tinubu’s administration “F9 across all parameters,” accusing the government of failing in security, electricity, education, healthcare, food security and the economy.
Sowore, who is also the publisher of Sahara Reporters, said if Tinubu were his student, he would ask him to leave the classroom and return to school to learn more.
The AAC candidate stated this on Tuesday during an appearance on Channels Television’s The Morning Brief, while assessing the Tinubu administration’s performance after three years in office.
Asked to identify any positive achievement of the administration, Sowore said he could not find one.
He said security had failed, while the national power grid had experienced repeated collapses over the past three years.

On education, Sowore criticised the rising financial burden on students, saying Nigerians were now having to borrow money to send their children to school.
He also questioned the state of healthcare, noting that even the President does not seek medical treatment in Nigerian hospitals.
On food security, Sowore cited concerns over hunger and food insecurity in the country, while on the economy, he claimed that the number of poor Nigerians had increased significantly under the current administration.
He said: “Nothing, because I rate the government from a number of parameters, and one of it is security. You know where we are—failed.”
Sowore added that when all the sectors were considered, he could not identify an area where the administration deserved even a passing grade.
The former presidential candidate further said that, as a teacher, he would not ask Tinubu to retire but would instead advise him to return to school.

When the programme’s presenter compared his position with that of Labour Party leader Peter Obi, who had previously urged Tinubu to retire, Sowore rejected the comparison.
“No, I’m not asking him to retire. I’m asking him to go back to school,” he said.
Sowore is the AAC presidential candidate for the 2027 election, while Tinubu is seeking re-election on the platform of the All Progressives Congress.
