A key focus of the inspection was the assessment of two 100MVA power transformers delivered to the project site on July 9, 2026, as well as their designated plinths.
The transformers are expected to significantly increase transmission capacity in Katsina State and strengthen electricity supply infrastructure across the North-West region.
The team also inspected four newly delivered control rooms to ascertain their readiness to accommodate critical protection, monitoring and control systems required for efficient operation of the substation.
